Hello guys, i just want to tell about my experience about schlumberger test in my college diponegoro university. The test has been done tomorrow on Tuesday, 20th september 2011 in sukowati building geologi engineering. I and my friends(tm,roro,devi,dela,dora) try to get in the test. Honestly, i not interested with that company coz i have another one hehe 
But i still get in to know how is the process that requitment coz i think the process of recruitment is not to be different between oil company.
Ok, the day before test i search in google about process requitment in schlumberger. After search, i found that first test is just answer one questions. i raise a half of my eyebrow (What!?!?), but after i read comment above that i know that that questions is simple but deep inside and to the point. So, we must answer in quick, simple, and to the point not aaa...aaa.aaa.
And this is my problem, i 'm not good in english. Maybe in listening and reading i know what that mean, but in conversation my english is bad.
Finally, the day has come. me and tm promise to go together. roro has been go home tell us that he can't come because is sick hmmmm. Then we(i and tm) go to sukowati building in geology engineering. In there, we meet devi,dora and dela. At 7.30, we go to the third floor. in there, recruiter from schlumberger tell us that we must see a announcement to know which number that we have. That number use for us to get test in inside. So, we rest beside that room because my number is 336 so i think still long that i get inside. After wait about 30 minutes i heard that the number is not use to queue but random depend on each participant. If participant want to test, they must to wait in the next door. People can get inside is about 12-20 depend on recruiter request to participant. We get up and get in to the stand line coz we want this test over quickly.
We wait about one hour then we entry to that room
. The room is huge like huge class for seminar. We sit in the last line and line after the last. devi,dora and dela in the left side and me, tm in the left side. People that recruiter is two, sir and madam. one by one participant forward to the recruiter to test. Like i guess, participant take one envelope then there is one question.
i watch other participant to guess how they fell, most over is good in english and answer fast. hmmm my nervous make my hand so cold. Ok, then my turn to forward. i step forward with faith that i can beat that one. i sit and put my number to that desk, recruiter want me to take one envelope. I take one envelope and this is i think i get fault. Maybe because my nervous so i can't think clearly and want is over so i get like hurry. Recruiter can read my attitude maybe. And the question for me is "what will you do if the company order you to work far from your family?"
hmmm i try to think quickly to answer that question. But when i try answer, my mouth like lock automatically so the answer is not clear enough and to many rest maybe. i like so stupid in there
.Then my english is bad so i not brave to make eye contact to that recruiter but actually eye contact is very important when you answer question in work interview. i answer very quick, maybe about 30 seconds. After the recruiter say "thank you", i get up to come out from that room.
i so regret in inside because i like junior high school that start learn english. i hesitate that i can pass to next test. tm go out first then me. Soon, devi,dela and dora come out too. We rest for a while with tell about what happen inside. Tm says that he get question about "what do you think if you work in 45 degrees celsius everyday?". Dela get "what do you know about challenge?". Dora get "What do you know about management people?" and devi get "what do you think if you work in -20 degrees celsius everyday?"
The announcement at 11.00, we wait until that hour but still not yet. Then at 11.30 the announcement published. Dora and dela pass then me,tm and devi fail. hmmm not strange because when i come out that room i feel that i'am not pass. Congratulations to them. i heard from dela that she pass until level 3 but failed when discussion group. dora fail in level 2 in technical test paper with math,physics,drawing and many more @.@
I not sad when iam fail in the first test. exactly i know that my english conversation is bad so i must study more hard to beat that.
The most valuable thing is experience that you get after that test. Come on just sit and wait, be active. Job not came to you by myself, you must work hard to get it.
Ok, maybe in this time we fail but don't forger that God have another plan to us.
